Sakshi Malik

Sakshi Malik is a pioneering Indian freestyle wrestler, famous for becoming the first Indian woman to win an Olympic medal in wrestling (Bronze at Rio 2016), inspiring many and breaking barriers for women in Indian sports.

Born in Haryana, she started wrestling at a young age, inspired by her grandfather, and went on to win medals at Commonwealth Games, earn awards like the Khel Ratna & Padma Shri, and advocate for athletes’ rights
